We can invoice you. Invoices are due within 10 business days. If a course starts within 10 business days, payment is due 3 business days before it starts. Payment is by bank transfer, and other methods can be discussed. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 10 business days' notice to cancel or reschedule without a charge. Later changes carry a fee of 20%, 50% or 100%, depending on how close the course is. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
What happens if you cancel a course?
If Yorkshire Futures cancels a session, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
First aid courses
How long is a first aid certificate valid for?
Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Student First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years. Basic Life Support and AED certificates are valid for 1 year, and we recommend renewing them each year.
What is the difference between Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work?
Emergency First Aid at Work is a 7-hour (1 day) course for people who will act as an emergency first aider in a low-risk workplace. First Aid at Work is an 18-hour (3 day) course that covers more conditions and injuries. See the first aid courses for the full contents.
Which first aid course does my workplace need?
Employers are expected to carry out a first aid needs assessment, which looks at the size of the workplace, the type of work and the risks involved. If you are not sure which course fits, call us on 01723 679915 and we will talk it through.
Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training
What is Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training?
It is the standardised training on learning disability and autism for health and social care staff. It has two parts. Part 1 is an eLearning course, and Part 2 is Tier 1 or Tier 2 depending on the person's role.
What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?
Tier 1 is a 1-hour live webinar for staff who need general awareness. Tier 2 is a 1-day face-to-face course for staff who provide direct support. Your organisation will usually decide which tier each member of staff needs. See the Oliver McGowan courses.
Do I have to complete anything before attending?
Yes. Everyone must complete Part 1 (eLearning through the E-learning for Healthcare portal) before attending a Tier 1 webinar or Tier 2 face-to-face session.

Do I get a certificate?
